Afraid to make design and furnishing decisions on your own? Well, you're not alone! For some reason, many people feel they should be able to make all the choices relating to furnishing a home on their own. Well, we can't do your job, and we don't expect you to do ours, either. When you come to slater/marinoff, please feel free to bring us your ideas, color samples, budgetary concerns, and anything else you'd like to share with us. Please ask lots of questions -- and expect lots of answers. If you like the way our Berkeley showroom looks -- and many of you do -- just ask for Nora. She's a marvel, and for the fifteen years she's been part of our s/m team she's been responsible for all the floor displays. But watch out: she's honest. She mirrors all of us at slater/marinoff in believing that our job is to provide you with the best advice we can, whether or not that involves making purchases from us.

If you feel that you need more advice than we can offer in our store, we do offer in-home consultations. In fact, we can offer you everything from two hour consultations by one of our staff to full interior design services by several talented designers.
